Adršpach

The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks are a phenomenal sandstone formation surrounded by picturesque natural scenery.

There are few places where you’ll find as many fascinating corners as in the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks. The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks are the largest and wildest rock town in Central Europe. They are not a one-day attraction; here, you can be amazed for a lifetime...

The rock town in the north of Eastern Bohemia has been fascinating tourists and wanderers since the 18th century; at that time, a multi-day fire destroyed the surrounding lush vegetation, bringing the beauty of the magnificent sandstone formations into the spotlight. Since then, tourist trails have been created, and climbers gradually conquered one rock formation after another. Most of the names of the local rock formations date back to the 18th century. Some of the most famous include the Lovers, the Mayor and the Mayoress, the Sugar Loaf, Krakonoš's Armchair, the Pitcher, and the Elephant Square.

Some areas of the rock town are only accessible by ladders. Especially the high-lying rock lake, where a funny ferryman will always row you in a boat, is truly well hidden. It’s not easy to reach with a stroller, cart, or a broken arm. Those who can't manage the climb to this rock lake can admire the beautiful azure lake at the entrance to the Adršpach Rocks area. Boat rentals are also available.

The rock town has an unforgettable charm in all seasons.
