Bozkov Dolomite Caves
Caves - The largest Czech dolomite caves with underground lakes.

Bozkov Dolomite Caves
The Bozkov Dolomite Caves are located on the northern slope of the village of Bozkov in the hilly landscape at the foothills of the Krkonoš Mountains. These caves were formed in limestone and siliceous dolomites, making them unique in the Czech Republic.
The entrance to the underground was discovered by workers during dolomite mining in the 1940s, but it was not until 1957 that the underground system of fissured corridors, partially filled with water, was fully discovered. The Bozkov Dolomite Caves are a labyrinth of underground corridors and cavities located not far beneath the surface.
The walls and ceilings are adorned with stalactites of various shapes and colors. Inside the caves lies the largest underground lake in the Czech Republic.
Among the highlights of the tour are underground lakes with crystal-clear blue-green waters.
The Bozkov Dolomite Caves are the only cave system in northern Bohemia accessible to the public. The caves and their surroundings are a protected area.
